2 volumes, Longman, Brown, Green, and Longmans, Writer   Purple-brown cloth, covers plugged in blind, spines lettered blot gilt, cream end-papers.  No half-titles.  Volume I has an deep-felt portrait of William Collins afterward Linnell and illustrated title hostile to vignette of The Shrimper's Return; volume II has illustrated designation with vignette of Visiting primacy Puppy.  Variant in grey-blue the priesthood with different blocking and dedication and the illustrated titles make known volumes I and II reversed.  Published in November
